GS1-128 Symbology and Function Characters
The GS1-128 symbology is a subset of Code 128 that relies on Function Characters (FNC1). Function Characters (FCN1) are used as the first character in the symbol (which indicates that the symbology is GS1-128) and between element strings based on what Application Identifier (AI) is used.
