How do I import an Excel spreadsheet?

Barcode Producer's Automator feature can import a tab-delimited text file and create a batch of barcodes. You can easily create a text file with Microsoft Excel.

  1. Create a new spreadsheet, then put the barcode values in the first column.
  2. Save, then select format Tab Delimited Text (.txt). Depending on your version of Excel, the format option might not exactly match this, but it will be close to this.
  3. Click the Automator button for the symbology in Barcode Producer, click Import Text File, then select your file.

Once imported, you can set options then click Generate to save your barcodes. Barcode Producer will use the settings from the symbology editor, so customize the formatting there first before saving.

How do I add a price extension?

For barcodes that support a price extension, add a second column to your spreadsheet with the price extension value.

Barcode Producer for Mac/PC creates perfect barcodes for retail packages, labels, books, packages, and everything else.
